2026 Forum

For today’s young people, school lockdowns and active shooter drills are part of life. 7 million U.S. children live in a home with at least one unlocked, loaded firearm. Guns are the #1 means of death of children and teens in Missouri, Kansas and the U.S.

Youth know this shouldn’t be normal — and they’re determined to change it.

Join us October 26 for a critical conversation about how the next generations are working to challenge gun culture, promote safety, and change the narrative around guns.

GGS is excited to bring Project Unloaded Founder Nina Vinik and Associate Director of Youth Engagement Olivia Brown as keynote speakers to this year’s Forum.

Through creative, fact-based campaigns such as S.N.U.G. (Safer Not Using Guns), Project Unloaded helps young people make informed decisions about the real risks and responsibilities of guns.

We’ll also hear from local youth sharing about their experiences, concerns and hopes for a future safer from gun violence.

Plan to join us to learn how the next generations are using powerful voices to change a future where less gun violence is normal.
