The filibuster to remove the ballot candy in SJR74 started yesterday.
We need to tell the Missouri senators that are putting in some long hours and great effort to eliminate the ballot candy in SJR74 that we support them and to cheer them on. The bill wants to change the way citizens pass an initiative petition, making it harder for us to have a voice in government and take away our rights. The bill has deceptive language that needs to be removed. Ideally SJR74 needs to fail completely. You can use this simple script or use your own:
Subject: Thank you for defending our rights.
Dear Senator,
I stand with you to do whatever you can to slow down and defeat SJR74 that would modify the initiative petition process. It takes a tremendous effort and I support your brave effort to halt SJR74.
